48 Hours in New York

New York City – the city that never sleeps, where every corner holds a new adventure and every street has a story to tell. My recent weekend getaway to the Big Apple with my girl was nothing short of fun and unpredictable. From a luxurious stay to hidden speakeasies, and everything in between, here’s a glimpse into our unforgettable 48 hours New York!

Just Checking In: Lotte Palace Hotel

Our weekend kicked off with a touch of luxury as we checked into the iconic Lotte Palace Hotel. Nestled in the heart of Manhattan, this elegant hotel exuded timeless charm and offered breathtaking views of the city skyline. From the moment we stepped into the lobby, we knew we were in for a treat!

Boozy Brunch Bliss: Anejo Tribeca & Cask Bar and Kitchen

No trip to New York is complete without indulging in a boozy brunch, and boy, did we brunch in style! First stop: Anejo Tribeca, where bottomless mimosas and sangria flowed and delectable Mexican fare danced on our taste buds. From my savory steak and eggs to her mouthwatering chilaquiles, every bite was delicious and we sat right next to the DJ so we caught the vibes first hand!

But why stop at one brunch spot when you can double the fun? The next day, our brunch extravaganza took us to Cask Bar and Kitchen, where live music set the perfect backdrop for our Sunday Funday. With each sip of our cocktails and each 90’s track from the DJ, we soaked in the vibrant energy of the bar and then the city.

Sipping Secrets: Speakeasy Adventures

In any city that I visit, I love to explore at least one hidden bar.  There is just something about carefully crafted cocktails and no phone signal that’s extremely sexy to me.  We embarked on a quest to uncover New York’s hidden speakeasies on this trip.  Our first stop was Madam Mikettes, a charming speakeasy not far from our hotel which was good since we didn’t wake back up until 1:00 AM. As we sipped on expertly crafted cocktails in a cozy, candlelit ambiance, we felt like we had stepped back in time.

The next night we went to End of Freemans Alley. Located at the end of a dimly lit alley, this speakeasy was a true hidden gem. The alley was long and the journey through the restaurant to get there interesting, but the final destination was oh so worth it!  With its eclectic decor and innovative drinks, it was the perfect spot to toast to friendship and new adventures.

Retail Therapy: Soho Shopping Spree

No trip to New York would be complete without a little retail therapy, and Soho was our playground. We spent hours exploring the cobblestone streets, popping into chic boutiques and vintage shops. From designer treasures at What Goes Around Comes Around to unique finds at L-Train Vintage and Vintage Reserve, we indulged in a shopping moment that fit just right.

As we bid farewell to the city that stole our hearts once again, we couldn’t help but reminisce about the unforgettable moments we shared. New York City had woven its magic around us, leaving us with memories to last a lifetime.

So here’s to the city that never sleeps, the streets that always buzz, and the adventures that always await around every corner. Until next time, New York – you’ll always hold a special place in our hearts. Cheers to the ultimate weekend escapade!
